With Summer pretty much here and working to put finishing touches on our apartment, the DIY-er in my has been itching to come out! There will be many projects coming your way in the next few months. First up, a Dresser TV Stand! Sadly, I didn’t take a before picture but trust me, it wasn’t too pretty.
We started with an old white dresser that was in storage, cleaned it out, sanded it down slightly and painted it. I’ve been digging the blue & cream combo lately so it seemed like a no brainer for color selection. I used Newport Gray & Smoked Oyster from the Valspar collection at Lowe’s. We also picked up some new hardware for a more cohesive look. We went with this one for the larger drawers and this one for the smaller drawers.
Once the dresser was painted and the hardware was in place. I made a quick trip to on of my favorite places, Target! I swear, I go in for toothpaste and end up with a full cart more times than not. I picked up two Wicker Baskets for the bottom of the dresser. We took out the bottom set of drawers and added the baskets in place.
End result! I love it! It was super easy to do and adds an extra pop of color to the living room. Not to mention, it gets our TV off of the bench that it’s been sitting on for the past 3 months. 🙂 On to the next projects!
