This Chai Spiced Granola has been on my “to make” list for months now. Full of warm spices, mixed nuts, and a little dried fruit, it’s the perfect granola to add to your yogurt throughout the year, especially when it’s cold out or the holidays are near.
Warm spices are where it’s at. They are cozy, smell like you’ve been baking all day, and remind me of the holiday seasons. The past couple of months have been very rainy here so making things that liven up the kitchen and give me warm fuzzy feelings are a must. This granola has already been made 2-3 times.
My favorite part about making this granola is the smell. Ok, obviously it tastes f-ing amazing, also. But the smell! It warms up the entire house while you’re baking and makes everything feel cozy and homey.
With a combination of nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, allspice and cardamon, this granola tastes like a chai spiced latte you can snack on. It comes together in a flash and stores perfectly in your pantry for weeks.
Like make granolas, the base is full of old fashioned oats and a nut/seed mixture. This is where you can have fun and really customize it to what you want. Mix in almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, cranberries, figs, apricots, whatever you want. Then something toss with the rest of the ingredients and you’ve got chai-spiced granola that you’ll love.
Make a double batch so you can top your yogurt, ice cream or even just have a bowl of it with some berries and almond milk. There’s no wrong way to do it. Hope you enjoy!
